Pet Daycare:

Elizabeth Ann Kennels is committed to providing a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for your dog during weekday business hours. At Elizabeth Ann Kennels, your furry friend will not be home alone or crated for long hours, but will enjoy supervised playtime with other doggy pals and our friendly kennel staff.

Elizabeth Ann Kennels is all about the safety, health and fun of our furry charges. We offer outdoor fenced areas for outdoor fun. Filtered water is available at all times. Our facility is heated and air conditioned and your pooch will be supervised at all times.

Elizabeth Ann Kennels offers a peace of mind alternative to leaving your canine pal home alone when you have to be away or knowing there is a safe fun place for them to be when you need them to be out of the house.

What you need to know about doggy daycare at Elizabeth Ann Kennels.

First Off- Our definition of doggy daycare: An organized, controlled and monitored environment for a group of friendly dogs to interact and play throughout the day. The purpose is to provide stimulation, exercise and socialization for your dog.

For a dog to be able to attend doggy daycare, they must be in good health, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed or neutered if over 7 months, non aggressive to people and other dogs and could benefit from playing and hanging out with other dogs and people for the day. All dogs must be evaluated prior to coming into Elizabeth Ann Kennels.

Please understand that not all dogs are candidates for daycare, they just do not do well in this type of setting. Also, if your dog is somewhat oversensitive and antisocial or harbors a painful injury or illness, Elizabeth Ann Kennels may not be for your dog. Sometimes, even dogs that pass the initial screening and seem at the start to be good candidates – are found to have been misread – they are unhappy in daycare and act out accordingly. If this is the case with your dog, he/she will be asked to leave. Our purpose in enforcing these rules is to provide for the health, safety and protection of your dog and all the dogs that attend Elizabeth Ann Kennels. Please respect these rules and do not take it personally if your dog is asked to leave. It in no way means that he/she is a bad dog – just that daycare is not the right environment for that particular dog.

At Elizabeth Ann Kennels, drop off is from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pick up is anytime before 6 p.m. There will be a charge of $10.00 for every 10 minutes after 6 p.m. that the dog is not picked up. It is very important that your dog be on a leash in your hand when going to and from your car. It only takes a second for dogs to break from your hand and get seriously injured. Please don’t make us worry about that possibility. We want your dog safe at all times.

Supervised play groups will be held outdoors depending on the weather. Dogs are grouped according to temperament and activity level. Elizabeth Ann offers a large outside fenced area so that everyone can have a spot to play that is just right for them!

Although non-stop play is fun, without a break it can be over stimulating. Therefore, we provide rest time from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. At around 2:00 p.m., playtime resumes until your “babies” are picked up.

We will be happy to provide your dog with his/her medication if that is called for while they are here, as well as feed them with their own food from your home. We have fresh water available at all times. Sometimes, however, dogs may not drink that much during the day because they are so busy. Please make sure they have access to water as soon as they get home. Let them drink a little bit at a time until their thirst is quenched.

Please understand that just as in a children’s day care center, some minor injuries are to be expected in a group play environment. Also, despite careful monitoring, at times fights may break out and more serious injuries may occur. In the event of a more serious injury, we will immediately contact you or your emergency contact person and make arrangements to get your dog the treatment that is warranted.

By the end of each day, toys are cleaned, bedcovers and towels are washed, and the whole place gets disinfecting cleaning.

We appreciate your trust in leaving your precious “puppies” with us and are committed to maintaining a pet-safe, clean and properly sanitized environment.
